This morning, Netflix UK and the official “Heartstopper” account posted a Season 3 recap ahead of the final installment, covering the end of Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie’s (Joe Locke) adventures spanning 6 volumes of graphic novels by Alice Oseman.
Season 3 of the Netflix series covers Volumes 4 and 5, dealing with Nick and Charlie’s growing relationship. Charlie is mustering up the courage to say “I love you” to Nick, while a heavier topic is brought to the center of this season. Charlie struggles with an eating disorder which has his family and friends (who are dealing with the facts of growing up) worried, especially Nick, who is looking at university and feels anxious about leaving Charlie for school.
“Heartstopper: Forever” will pick up right where Season 3 left off and covers the 6th and final volume of the graphic novel series. It will premiere on July 17 on Netflix.
A companion behind the scenes special, “Heartstopper: Ending on a Hi” was also announced today and will premiere on Netflix on July 24.
