The new trailer released Friday for the upcoming thriller “Yaga” brings yet more Canadian royalty to the series—Alanis Morissette singing a cover of “Season of the Witch.”

The trailer also introduces viewers to the look-alike character played by Hudson Williams. The “Heated Rivalry” star plays two roles in the adaptation of the Kat Sandler play of the same name—Henry Park, the heir to a commercial fishing family who has gone missing and his roommate, Logan. 

Noah Reid plays Rapp, a private investigator who’s been hired by the Park family to investigate the disappearance of their son. He’s partnered with a local police detective, Carson, played by Clark Backo. The two travel about a small island in British Columbia, Canada, interviewing those who know Park and learning they may be on to more than just a missing person case. 

Carrie-Anne Moss is Katherine, a university professor, who tells Rapp and Carson about the Baba Yaga folktale which lends its name to the title of the series. What exactly the mythic character has to do with Park’s disappearance is unclear, but there are suggestions of satanism and a cult in the trailer.
