Regal Cinemas is bringing all six episodes of “Heated Rivalry” Season 1 to the big screen next month.
“The Heatening” (my name for this momentous event) will take place from Nov. 6 to 30.
Fans can watch two episodes per screening for $9.99 at more than 275 Regal locations. In addition, AMC and Cinemark will participate, bringing the total theater count for the event to more than 650 nationwide.
“When a series connects with audiences the way ‘Heated Rivalry’ has, we look for ways to bring it to the big screen and give fans a reason to experience it together,” said Brooks LeBoeuf, senior vice president of U.S. content at Regal.
Originally airing on Canada’s Crave, “Heated Rivalry” was a surprise hit for HBO Max; the show became the streamer’s top acquired scripted series ever. It launched Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie to overnight stardom, leading to additional acting roles and a devoted fan base.
The TV series was created by Jacob Tierney and follows hockey rivals Shane Hollander (Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Storrie) as they develop a romantic relationship. Season 2 is currently filming and is expected to return to screens in spring 2027.
The show is based on author Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” book series. The first season of the TV series is adapted from the first two books in the series, “Game Changer” and “Heated Rivalry.”
