Best-selling author Elin Hilderbrand will host “The Five-Star Weekend Official Podcast” starting July 9, after the “The Five-Star Weekend” series premiere on Peacock.

The series, starring Jennifer Garner as cook and bestselling author Hollis Shaw, is an adaptation of a 2023 novel of the same name by Hilderbrand. 

The story centers on Hollis, who suffers a life-changing loss. She spirals as she learns of marital issues, faces pressure to keep up with fans and butts heads with her daughter. She decides that hosting a weekend with close friends at her Nantucket house would be the perfect pick-me-up while also appealing to her fans. 

She chooses four friends from different stages in her life—her childhood, her 20s and her 30s and invites a mysterious guest as well. Her goal is to offer these five women a weekend of “five-star treatment.” Things don’t go according to Hollis’ perfectly laid plans and secrets are exposed along the way.

On the podcast, Hilderbrand will interview the cast and crew, including star and executive producer Jennifer Garner, D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Harlow Jane and West Duchovny. In addition, she will speak with show creator Bekah Brunstetter (executive producer), directors Minkie Spiro (executive producer) and Jennifer Morrison and more.  

The video podcast will be available to watch on Peacock and Peacock’s YouTube channel and listen to on podcast platforms. 

There will be eight episodes of the podcast, with two episodes a week on Thursdays in July. 

Hilderbrand co-hosts another podcast, titled “Books, Beach & Beyond” with Tim Ehrenberg, of “Tim Talks Books.” In its fourth season, the pair interview authors and actors on the show, including Taylor Jenkins Reid, John Grisham and Nicole Kidman, who starred in another one of Hilderbrand’s adaptations, Netflix’s “The Perfect Couple.”
