NBC has canceled its Zachary Quinto-led medical drama “Brilliant Minds” after two seasons.
The announcement comes after the network removed the drama from its primetime schedule after the Winter Olympics. The show is expected to air its final six episodes beginning May 27, The Hollywood Reporter and TVLine reported.
“Brilliant Minds” is loosely based on the memoirs of Dr. Oliver Sacks—“The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat” and “An Anthropologist on Mars.” It follows Quinto as Oliver Wolf, a doctor who has face blindness and uses unconventional methods to diagnose patients with mysterious ailments.
The series also stars Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Teddy Sears, Brian Altemus, John Clarence Stewart and Al Calderon.
