The third and final season of “Good Omens” premieres on May 13 and a new teaser offers a brief look at the series’ final chapter. 

On Monday, an 11-second teaser shows a man in an elevator pressing a button to take him to Earth. The clip includes the caption, “Let’s kick off the Second Coming!”

Three days ago, new character looks were revealed for Donna Preston as Mrs. Sandwich, Andrew O’Neill as Mutt’s Spouse, Poppy Lee Friar in an unannounced role, Rich Keeble as Mr. Arnold, Anna Maryan as Justine and Mark Addy in an unannounced role. 

The series is based on the 1990 novel  “Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch” by Neil Gaiman and the late Sir Terry Pratchett. The comedy follows the aftermath of the birth of Satan and an angel, Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), and demon (David Tennant) working together to stop the apocalypse. 

Season 3 was originally set to be six episodes but was reduced to a single, 90-minute episode. 

The third season was inspired by a conversation between the authors on what happens next with the characters. 

Season 1 premiered on Prime Video in May 2019 and it led to a second season in July 2023. The first season followed the book’s story, while Season 2 went beyond the book and explored the relationship between Aziraphale and Crowley and other characters further.
