Several book-to-screen adaptations are moving forward with new seasons and sequels, including “Crazy Rich Asians,” “The Hunting Wives,” “Imperfect Women” and “Love Me Love Me.”
‘Love Me Love Me’
On Friday, Prime Video announced that the film “Love Me Love Me” is getting a sequel—“Love Me Love Me 2,” which will premiere in 2027.
The film will continue the story of Stefania S.’s four-book series, which has over 25 million reads on Wattpad. A third film has also been announced. Mia Jenkins, Pepe Barroso Silva and Luca Melucci will reprise their roles as June, James and Will. Roger Kumble is to return as director.
‘Crazy Rich Asians’
On Thursday, HBO announced that “Crazy Rich Asians,” the 2018 blockbuster film based on Kevin Kwan’s bestselling books, will continue as a series. Jon M. Chu and Adele Lim, who were behind the film, are leading the new production. It will start filming in 2027.
Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Ronny Chieng and Michelle Yeoh will reprise their roles from the film, which is now streaming on HBO Max.
‘The Hunting Wives’
On Wednesday, Netflix announced that “Hunting Wives” has been picked up for a third season. The news comes before the second season of the soapy drama, starring Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman and Dermot Mulroney, premieres.
“I’m so excited, the girls are so excited, we just love making this show,” creator and showrunner Rebecca Cutter told Tudum. “I’m super proud of how the scripts for Season 3 are coming out.”
The thriller is based on the 2022 book of the same name by May Cobb. Season 2 will premiere on Nov. 26.
‘Imperfect Women’
On Monday, Apple TV announced that the thriller “Imperfect Women” will return for a second season. Season 2 will focus on Kerry Washington’s character Eleanor.

“We were thrilled to see how deeply these women and their stories resonated with audiences around the world, and I’m so excited to step back into Eleanor’s shoes,” Washington said. “She’s intelligent and strong, but she also finds herself navigating complicated and sometimes messy situations.”
Washington will serve as executive producer alongside Elisabeth Moss. Creator Annie Weisman will return to serve as co-showrunner alongside Justin Hillian.
Season 1 was based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name.
