‘The Testaments’ to return for a second season

Hulu announced Wednesday that “The Testaments” will return for a second season. The series, which premiered on April 8, stars Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday and Rowan Blanchard.

Margaret Atwood’s sequel novel to “The Handmaid’s Tale” returns to Gilead years later, following three women whose lives intersect as the regime begins to crack from within. Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) returns in the new series that expands the world introduced in the original series.

Elisabeth Moss, who starred as June Osborne/Offred in the six seasons of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” guest starred in the first season.
