Everyone’s favorite Southern besties Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott) and Helen (Heather Headley), their families and their relationship issues are back in “Sweet Magnolias” Season 5.

In the trailer Netflix released Monday, the ladies hit New York City. Maddie had received a job offer in publishing in the Big Apple at the end of Season 4 and the three–known as “The Sweet Magnolias” in their charming hometown of Serenity, South Carolina–decided to join her on a girls trip.

Showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson told Netflix Tudum: “Not only is this adventure huge fun, it’s also an opportunity to explore the facets of their relationships in a new context. While it’s crucial to have true friends in day-to-day life, it’s priceless to have them supporting you when you leap out of your comfort zone.”

The series is based on the book series by Sherryl Woods. Season 5 is said to follow the story behind the book “Home in Carolina.”

“Sweet Magnolias” Season 5 will premiere June 11 on Netflix.
