On Monday, “The Night Agent” executive producer and showrunner Shawn Ryan said that Season 4 will be the series’ last.
“I’m so grateful to Netflix and Sony Pictures Television for partnering with me on ‘The Night Agent’ and for giving us the space to deliver a definitive final season to our worldwide legion of fans. We are hard at work to complete our story and to make our final season one our fans will never forget,” Ryan said.
“Ever since the initial success of ‘The Night Agent,’ I’ve been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland’s journey,” he added.
Season 4 of “The Night Agent” is currently filming. The Netflix series, adapted from the 2020 novel by Matthew Quirk, centers on FBI agent Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso. Peter works in the White House basement monitoring a secret phone line.
The third season of the thriller moved from Washington, D.C., to international locations. And Season 4 will continue to explore new places, and characters. Titus Welliver, Li Jun Li, Trevante Rhodes and Elizabeth Lail have joined the cast.
“It’s been a wild ride filming ‘The Night Agent’ in five countries across three continents … and we’re so thrilled that the adventures of Peter Sutherland will continue into Season 4,” Ryan said.
