The trailer for Season 2 of “Rivals” teases a sharper, more dangerous chapter in the battle for the Central South West television franchise, as the war between Corinium and Venturer escalates.

Set in the vibrant and over-the-top 1980s, the clip shows Lord Tony Baddingham (David Tennant) ruthlessly trying to take down anyone he considers his enemy. 

“Rivals” is adapted from Dame Jilly Cooper’s novel of the same name. It’s part of Cooper’s “Rutshire Chronicles.”

The series also stars Alex Hassell, Aidan Turner, Danny Dyer and Katherine Parkinson. It focuses on a rivalry in 1986 between two men working in independent television in England.  

Season 1 of the series won an International Emmy and BAFTA TV awards. Three episodes of the new season will drop on May 15 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
