‘Young Sherlock’ to return for Season 2

On Tuesday, Prime Video announced it renewed “Young Sherlock” for a second season. 

Guy Ritchie will return as director and executive producer.

Hero Fiennes Tiffin stars as the young Sherlock Holmes. Like most Ritchie features, it relies on action—and mystery.

“Young Sherlock has that rare magic—millions of fans around the world aren’t just watching a detective story, they’re falling in love with the origin of an icon,” said Peter Friedlander, head of Global Television, Amazon MGM Studios. 

Season 1 is streaming now on Prime Video. It premiered on March 4 and according to a Prime Video press release, reached 45 million viewers and ranks among the Top 10 Prime Original seasons of all-time.

Joseph Fiennes, Dónal Finn, Zine Tsen, Natascha McElhone, Max Irons and Colin Firth also star.
