The series is based on the 2025 debut novel of the same name by Sophie Stava.

Lohan, in her first scripted TV role, stars as rich and glamorous Violet Lockhart, who is married to Jay, played by “Game of Thrones” star Harington. The “Mean Girls” star hires a nanny, Sloane Caraway, played by Woodley (“Big Little Lies”), who lies her way into the position.

LaNasa will star as Sloane’s mother, Tracy, in the limited series.

The suspense thriller centers on Sloane, who thinks she has found a dream job, learning that the perfect couple who hired her are not what they seem.

Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who worked on “This Is Us,” are the showrunners for the adaptation.
