Barnyard runs amok in ‘Animal Farm’ trailer

Angel Studios released a new trailer for its animated adaptation of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm.”

The trailer follows as Lucky the pig (Gaten Matarazzo), Snowball the sow (Laverne Cox), Boxer the horse (Woody Harrelson), Carl the sheep (Jim Parsons) and the rest of the barnyard gang discover they’re about to be hauled off to the slaughter house. The barnyard animals escape that fate, rebel against the farmers and try to form a society where all animals are equal and free.

But the new society soon comes under the dictatorship of Napoleon (Seth Rogen) and fellow pig Squealer (Keiran Culkin), and Lucky’s loyalties are tested.

The film, which arrives in theaters May 1, is directed by Andy Serkis (who also voices two characters) and also stars Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close, Kathleen Turner and Iman Vellani.
