This sequel to “The Handmaid’s Tale” returns to Gilead 15 years after the events of Atwood’s first installment. Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) returns as one of three primary characters. Chase Infiniti and Rowan Blanchard also star. The series premieres April 8. 

The Miniature Wife” by Manuel Gonzales

Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen star in Peacock’s upcoming dark comedy, based on a short story by Manuel Gonzales. The series explores power imbalances in a relationship after a husband’s tech experiment shrinks his wife. “The Miniature Wife” premieres April 9.

Margo’s Got Money Problems” by Rufi Thorpe

A pregnant Margo (Elle Fanning) has to come up with ways to make money to support herself and her baby in “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.” Margo, the daughter of a Hooters waitress (Michelle Pfeiffer) and a former professional wrestler (Nick Offerman), begins creating content on OnlyFans. It premieres April 15 on Apple TV.

The House of the Spirits” by Isabel Allende

“The House of the Spirits” is a multi-generational saga following the Trueba family as love, power and political upheaval collide over decades of change in Latin America. The story blends politics with magical realism. The series stars Alfonso Herrera, Dolores Fonzi, Nicole Wallace, Juan Pablo Raba and Fernanda Castillo. It premieres April 29 on Prime Video.

Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt

The story follows a grieving 70-year-old widow, Tova (Sally Field), as she forms a bond with Marcellus the giant octopus at her job at the aquarium. She also develops a connection with Cameron (Lewis Pullman), a drifter new to town, which helps her uncover a long-held mystery about her son. The film premieres on May 8 on Netflix.

“The Deal” from the “Off Campus” series by Elle Kennedy

Fans of sexy hockey might want to read “The Deal” ahead of Prime Video’s adaptation titled “Off Campus.” It follows Hannah, who tutors the captain of her college hockey team in exchange for a fake date. You know where this is going. The series stars Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli and Steve Howey. “Off Campus” premieres on May 13.
