This week, a bunch of books took their first big steps toward the screen. Here’s a roundup of the teasers and trailers that dropped this week.
‘Dune: Part Three’
Warner Bros. Pictures released its first teaser trailer for the third installment of the “Dune” series starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. Based on Frank Herbert’s book “Dune Messiah,” “Dune: Part Three” is set to be released in theaters December 18. Returning are Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem and Charlotte Rampling. Anya Taylor-Joy and Robert Pattinson are joining the all-star cast.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
The trailer for the latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe offered first looks at villains the Scorpion and Boomerang as well as a voice cameo from actor Keith David. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is set to hit theaters July 31.
‘Two Seasons, Two Strangers’
The Japanese drama “Two Seasons, Two Strangers” tells the stories of two couples—one in summertime and one in the winter. The film is based on a pair of short-story mangas by Yoshiharu Tsuge called “A View of the Seaside” and “Mr. Ben and His Igloo.” There’s no release date yet for the film.
‘Jack Ryan: Ghost War’
Amazon MGM Studios released the trailer for Tom Clancy’s “Jack Ryan: Ghost War,” which will premiere on Prime Video on May 20. The cast includes John Krasinski, Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly and Sienna Miller.
‘Off Campus’ Season 1
Amazon MGM Studios released the a teaser trailer and announced a premiere date for its upcoming hockey romance series “Off Campus.” Based on the book “The Deal” by Elle Kennedy, the series stars Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli and Steve Howey.
