‘Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone’ adaptation to star Penn Badgley
Amazon announced Thursday that it is adapting Benjamin Stevenson’s novel “Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone.” The dark comedy series is set to star Penn Badgley in the lead role, Variety reported. Stevenson confirmed the news in a post on Instagram.
“It is bloody good to meet you, Ernest Cunningham,” he said of the lead character.
The main character of the book is a mystery writer in Vermont “who reluctantly attends a family reunion to welcome his brother Michael home from prison—the same brother Ern helped convict,” a synopsis of the book reads. “When a frozen body appears and a snowstorm traps everyone inside, the deaths begin to mount. Everyone in his family has already killed someone—either by accident or otherwise.”
David Hemingson is set to serve as showrunner and executive producer.

“The six-part series mixes a Bonnie and Clyde style adventure of bent cops, kidnapping, underworld fixers (not to mention libido-enhancing horse medication bootleggers) and the dilemmas of unconventional heroes and villains with an 8th century tall tale of monks, vikings, buried treasure and a priceless holy book,” a synopsis reads.
The series, which is set to premiere this fall, also stars Philippa Dunne, Aidan Gillen, Casey Walsh and Packy Lee.
