‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2: first look
Paramount+ shared first look images of Season 2 of “Dexter: Resurrection” Tuesday. The serial killer with a moral code is still in New York City and has to face two new serial killers. Michael C. Hall stars as Dexter Morgan, alongside returning cast members Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington and James Remar. The photos feature Thurman, Remar and Dexter’s son Harrison (Jack Alcott).
Brian Cox, Bokeem Woodbine, Nona Parker Johnson and Dan Stephens are joining the second season. Kristin Ritter and Gabriel Luna will guest-star. The character originated in Jeff Lindsay’s eight-book “Dexter” series.
‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ virtual watch party

Brandon Sanderson completes the ‘Mistborn’ screenplay
Brandon Sanderson announced he finished the screenplay for the adaptation of his fantasy book series of the same name.
“After many months of work, I’m thrilled to announce the first draft of the ‘Mistborn’ screenplay is DONE! Just in time to celebrate the book’s original publication, twenty years ago this month. Do please remember that this is just an early step in a very long process, but I’m terribly excited by how it turned out!” Apple TV acquired the rights to “Mistborn” in late January.
Prime Video announces the cast of ‘Rose Hill’
Prime Video announced the cast Monday on Instagram for the upcoming series “Rose Tree Hill,” based off the bestselling series by Elise Silver. The reel featured a series of aesthetic images to complement each character’s cast announcement. The confirmed cast members include Jake Weary (West Belmont), Sean O’Pry (Ford Grant Jr.), Hannah Galway (Rosie Belmont), and Sadie Dickerson (Skylar Stone).
“Rose Tree Hill” follows Ford and West, two best friends and neighbors, and West’s sister Rosie. Skylar, a country-pop star shows up and heats things up in their mountain town. The series is still in development.
‘My Sad Dead’ to premiere at San Sebastian Film Festival
Based on four short stories by Mariana Enríquez, Mike Leigh’s “My Sad Dead” will have its world premiere screening at the San Sebastian Film Festival in September.
Starring Mercedes Morán, Dolores Fonzi, and Carolina Álvarez, the film is about a woman’s ability to see and hear the dead. The 2026 San Sebastian Film Festival runs from September 18 to 26.
