‘56 Days’
Streaming Feb. 18 on Prime Video
Based on the 2021 mystery-thriller by Catherine Ryan Howard, “56 Days” stars Dove Cameron as Ciera and Avan Jogia as Oliver.
The pair meet during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and start an intense relationship. Soon after, police find a decomposing body in their home and must solve the mystery.
‘The Night Agent’ Season 3
Streaming Feb. 18 on Prime Video
The Netflix series was adapted from the 2020 novel by Matthew Quirk. The story centers on FBI agent Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso. Peter works in the White House basement monitoring a secret phone line.
The third season of the thriller moves from Washington, D.C., to international locations.
‘Murder in Glitterball City’
Streaming Feb. 19 on Netflix
The two-part documentary revisits a 2010 murder case in Louisville, Ky., based on the non-fiction book “A Dark Room in Glitter Ball City” by David Dominé.
The series follows the investigation and trials of couple Joey Janis and Jeffrey Mundt. The pair blame each other for the murder of James Carroll.
‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ Season 2
Streaming Feb. 20 on AppleTV
Owen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) returns home after five years on the run in Season 2 of “The Last Thing He Told Me.” The series is based on Laura Dave’s 2021 novel.
Season 1 was based on “The Last Thing He Told Me ” and Season 2 is based on the book’s sequel “The First Time I Saw Him.” Jennifer Garner stars as Owen’s wife Hannah and Angourie Rice plays her stepdaughter Bailey.
‘The Dreadful’
In theaters Feb. 20
“Game of Thrones” co-stars Sophie Turner and Kit Harington reunite in the gothic horror film “The Dreadful.” Set in 15th-century England, the story follows Turner’s Anne and her mother-in-law Marwen, played by Marcia Gay Harden, who live in isolation.
Their fragile world is upended when a soldier, portrayed by Harington, arrives. The film draws on a Shin Buddhist parable that also inspired the Japanese horror classic “Onibaba.”
‘Portobello’
Streaming Feb. 20 on HBO Max
Fabrizio Gifuni stars as Enzo Tortora, a host of a 1982 TV show called “Portobello.” The series is based on Tortora’s 2016 autobiographical book “Lettere a Francesca.” Enzo is the king of TV and so popular that the president names him as Commander of the Republic.
After an earthquake, things change politically and Enzo finds himself in trouble with the police.
‘Midwinter Break’
In theaters Feb. 20
Relationship drama “Midwinter Break” follows a retired couple as they take a four-day trip to Amsterdam. Their marriage is tested as memories from their past in Ireland come to the forefront.
Based on the 2017 novel by Bernard MacLaverty, it stars Lesley Manville and Ciarán Hinds.
