“Forever” stars Lovie Simone and Michael Cooper Jr. are in production for Season 2. 

The Netflix series is based on Judy Blume’s 1975 novel, “Forever.”  The story has been reimagined by creator Mara Brock Akil and follows the love story of two Black teens exploring romance in Los Angeles in 2018.

Simone stars as Keisha and Cooper Jr. as Justin, childhood friends who meet again later as teens. 

Through the struggles of athletic competition and college admissions, they pair find first love. But will it last….forever?
